ABOUT ME

Welcome! I’m Caroline, and I’m a licensed clinical psychologist (PSY33758) specializing in perinatal mental health.

As a toddler mom myself, I know that the journey to motherhood can leave you feeling stuck, confused, and anxious. Between all the external “shoulds” and expectations, worries about the future, confusion about who you are want to be in this new role, changing relationship dynamics, and many complex emotions that come with this time, new motherhood can make you feel like you're treading water out at sea. As your therapist, my goal is to help you feel less alone and equip you with concrete strategies and new perspectives that can act as a lighthouse to guide you back to shore.

I received my Masters and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the PGSP-Stanford Psy.D. Consortium, where I trained in settings such as the Stanford Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and the Palo Alto VA. I completed my pre-doctoral internship at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System and postdoctoral training at Pacific Anxiety Group. I also conducted research with the Stanford Eating Disorder Research Program, where the bulk of my work focused on helping parents transmit healthy eating behaviors to their children.

Across these experiences, I received specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy (IBCT), and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), and these remain the foundation of my clinical practice.

In my practice, I strive to build genuine, open, and trusting relationships with my clients. I work to understand each client’s unique cultural identities, values, life experiences, and ongoing stressors, and we work collaboratively to individualize treatment to their needs, preferences, and our shared understanding of their challenges.

I live in San Francisco with my husband and son. In my free time, I love to spend time with my family, explore the city and surrounding areas, try new restaurants, hike, watch football, bake, travel, and binge-watch cooking competition shows.
